The Funimation “Fruits Basket #1 DVD” is done quite well (ignoring the fact that it’s $10 more than “KareKano / His & Her Circumstances” for the same episode count (6)). All soft subs (font is a tiny bit too small IMO), good picture quality, some extras (mainly the Japanese “Making-Of” / Preview / Teaser show). The show is excellent; it sets out to make feel all warm and fuzzy inside and it succeeds very nicely.
But never ever listen to the dubbed opening song! The original is so nice and beautiful… Why bother to ruin it?

    I personally don’t like the anime–but I love the songs. The anime is too short. It ends at
    disc four or manga six. The manga is still being added onto! And besides, I love gazing at
    Kyo’s face in the manga more then the anime. But, Kyo’s voice is hott in both Japanese and
    English! Well, I watch both to see the differences, I know both Japanese and English so I
    don’t need those cursed subtitles that make you want to stare at them and not the scream.
    O…kay…well, that was fun! xD

    I love the anime and the manga, also the songs in the anime but I can’t find the songs on cds, samples anyway. I’d like to find a website somewhere where I can hear clips of the songs. And hopefully one day learn Japanese. I know no one from Japan personally, those I do know are from other countries close by such as Korea and China. So I have learned a few words here and there. Languages and drawings are my fav interests so the mangas and the animes are very intriguing.

    yeah…the songs are pretty short…..but staring at kyo is really cool!!! but just staring at a animated face is boring but i love the anime…..to bad they are not making another one….they should make other animes makin other animals of the chinese zodiach like left out….the rooster and the horse…and they should make stuff out of that…and make more love connection between yuki and tohru!!!! they look so cute together….but kyos already taken by kagura so he cant go with tohru…….to bad sorry kyo!…..he im single kyo!!….lol

    i don’ t listen to the songs that much so I think it’s O.K. i started watching it when my sister watching it. I’m a rat so I feel KINDA special because it’s in the story that the rat won at race.

    hi, i really love the anime and the mangas! i wish funimation would make season 2 because so much wassuppose to happen! i men ya, the whole ‘kyo’s true cat form’ was a climactic moment but what about the other characters? wawawa….i just LOVE IT! they have to make more! please

    I Love Fruits basket lol the songs are wonderful and the story is so cute and well Kyou andYuki arn’t bad lol It took me so long to make up my mind between them lol but as you can see I tlike Kyou waay better enyhoo yeah okay byebye

    i absolutely love the english versions of the songs, i can sing the japanese version of the opening theme, but halfway through i realise i’ve changed to english and i laugh so hard that i cry. i love kyo and shigure’s voice in english! ^_^ but kyo’s is funny in the japanese it’s really macho!!
    oh in the english yuki really does sound like a prince. *blissful sigh*

    I love the songs and the film of Fruits Basket I just can’t stop watching it. Ask my sister if you don’t believe me. It is one of the best films I have ever seen in my whole inter life. Kyo and Yuki is the best looking boys in the film Shurgire is alright looking but Kyo and Yuki are better. I think that Tohru and Yuki should get together and Kyo should get together with Kargura they make such a cute couple.

    Whenever I watch the movie fruits basket, listen to the song or whenever I read the book I keep getting more & more adicted to it. I wish I was Tohro Honda she is the luckest girl in the world. That will be my only wish in my whole life. She is really lucky. She wwill life a good life even if she isn’t a really person! / /

    it is not just for young children to see, but for all.
    all the characters are funny, cracking me up many times. ^^
    while introducing many important issues. "Just be yourself. you’ll be fine."
    the english voices are so nice to listen to.

    did you know. kyo and some other voices were from dragon ball z. ahhh.

    I thought the movie was great! I thought the part where Momiji tells Tohru about his mom is really sad! My favortie episode was Episode 18! SOOOO FUNNY! I also like that song they played at the end. Serenade. But I can’t find the english version. Anyone have an idea? I can’t even find out who sings the english version of the songs! If anyone knows, let me know! THANKS!

    that song makes me cry. so does just about every song rel8d to a cartoon or anime but this 1 especially T_T*sniff* and if you REALLY think about the lyrics, u wanna cry ur eyes out.
    my friend has basically every person in her life as a character. like she basically has a “prince Yuki” and im Saki hanajima. It soo kool. I LUV FRUITS BASKET!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!

    i’m new to fruits basket and have only read 2 volumes of it(and i’m loving it!!!) but….OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tohru ends up with kyo???????
    i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again ….OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
    oh and …….this may sound dumb but who exactly is akito????
    they keep mentioning his name in the second volume but i can’t figure out who he/she is!!!!!!!!!!!

    I ABSOLUTELY LURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRVE FRUITS BASKET !!!( who doesn’t ? *wink ) Tohru, Kyo, Yuki, Shigure, Momiji and the others are just wonderful , I tell ya !!! The characters are so real and close to the heart that it’s easy to understand what they are going through. To Takaya Natsuki, I simply admire your work and imagimation. Gambatte !!! The songs are really nice and thelyrics are very meaningful too. I totally support it being 1 of the Top 10 Animes ! Oh… and …. did I mention that I really, really Kyo ? He’s just so COOL !!! (and cute!, BTW) ~sigh~

    i think that the song is good i like it very much n_n… its a cute song… i start to see fruits basket, when i went to a library and my sister bougth the fruits basket books… i remember that i said that it was a kinda weird.. the one day i just felt a little curios about it… i read it and i love it!!!!!!… by the way.. FRUITS BASKET IS SO COOL!!!!! ayame is so funny… i’m a snake too :P…. i’m a little sad about the anime, because it only have 26 episode (i think that is like 96 chapters) and the managa have 131 chapter :(…..
