Bought a new pair of earbuds: sony’s MDR-EX70LP. They rest completely within your ear-canal, but are the most comfortable ones I’ve used (and sound very nice (for earbuds ;))). But rather expensive… :p

Adjusting ClearType
I’ve written a web-page / script (using Microsoft’s ClearType control) that you can use to adjust ClearType without being online (mainly because my Compaq TFT8030 uses BGR pixel order instead of RGB, there is no documentation on how to set that and my computer is not connected to the ‘net). You’ll need WinXP SP1 to use the BGR pixel-order, but you can set the anti-aliasing type and ClearType contrast on pre-SP1 machines. Get it here.
Mediaslush Jukebox
Mediamatch Jukebox (7.1 and 7.5) suck (especially the iPod-plugin) as they are never able to sync my whole music-library to my iPod. Stick to Ephpod, which is also a lot faster and leaner…
Hercule (Palm)
Something to keep your little grey cells in shape: Hercule for Palm. Give yourself and hour to learn it, and you’ll be hooked!
Will-never-finish
I’ve been writing a bit for a windows-frontend for Scott Draves’ cosmic recursive fractal flames… so look forward to that; still needs a bit of work…
Security
If you still haven’t noticed, Blogger has been hacked, so you might want to change (ftp-)passwords….
It’s not complicated
Managed to recompile the kernel (knowing about mkinitrd helps… thanks, mandrake-manual… not!) w/ ACPI and w/o framebuffer-support (as that supposedly breaks the nvidia X-driver). i still can’t switch to a full-screen terminal from X, though (and neither exit…). grmbl!
