discovered all small bug in vStrip_GUI: sometimes the context-menu in the IFO screen (set start/end lba) did not work on cell-level (chapter level was working fine). this is fixed (but not published yet…)

ported Scott Draves’ cosmic recursive fractal flames to windows. they somehow ended up in the vStrip_GUI about screen… ^_^
iteration 3 of my wavelet image compression. and no, it’s not better than anything that’s already out, but it’s simple.
watched the kenshin OVAs… (actually, i bought them (don’t kill me, mom!)) very good. dark, bloody, sad, beautiful.
Battle Royale is one of the best films i’ve seen in a long, long time… while the backdrop is very unreal, the interactions between the characters are very believable (and well acted). the film also left me emotionally troubled (much like 12 Monkeys did, but in a different way). i also liked the ending song by Dragon Ash for some reason i cannot quite fathom. the R3 HK DVD is allright, but not perfect (not anamorphic, no overscan, slightly soft picture). watch this if you have the chance (and yes, i can see why the japanese parliament recommended not to watch this film, but i do not agree with them)!
watch “energia” by orange (great soundtrack) and “gerbera” by moppi productions. well worth it!
went to the barbican centre in london to watch On Your Mark, Whisper of the Heart (If You Listen Closely) and My Neighbours the Yamadas. All of them were truly excellent. i love Studio Ghibli and i’d love to get a (legal) boxset w/ english subs of all their stuff… ahhhhhhhhh… grmbl… it might happen…
