guessing the specs
vStrip.zip is version 0.8f w/ DVD2AVI project-file writing and new improved IFO-parsing for multiple subtitle-streams for wide-screen and letterbox (thanks to derrow for pointing this out on http://www.ultimateboard.de).
wavelet kompressor 2.1
wavelet.zip updated to version 2.1. it had serious bugs in the quality based quantiser-selection (one was related to not returning lossless “solutions” when they were asked for, the other very often returned large solutions, although better (i.e. smaller) ones were available).
the new vStrip can write (hopefully correct DVD2AVI 1.76 project-files). source will be up over the weekend, you might be able to get the fresh version at http://www.doom9.org before that…
slightly updated the wavelet code again… i had a little inspiration yesterday evening (well… it should’ve been the obvious thing to do): i now reorder the coefficients that were set to 0 (for non power-of-2 dimensions) to the end of the block. this improves compression on such images by about 0.7-1.2%. yey. and makes old images look odd. ^_^
updated the code page w/ the wavelet kompressor, made some (very minor) changes to the code and added documentation (i think that’s a first for me ;)!
finished the GUI, commented the wavelet compression code (together with everything else) and released it all with source under the GPL. have fun… wavelet.zip!! and please give feedback 😉
