[time-travelled post] This is the view from the DLR parking space near the building where I work onto the Braunschweig airport’s runways. The weather on the drive there from Hannover was abysmal (icy rain which froze up my wind-shield while driving), but I got here safely to start my first day of work – doing a PhD. |
No, I didn’t buy myself a GBA SP and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance; it was just someone with an extreme resemblance to me… 😀
Update: Picked up Superstar Saga: Mario & Luigi as well as Wario Ware Inc. (which can be had for €25 at MakroMarkt).
Could people please make sure that they a) don’t run any sort of stupid attachments and b) don’t have Sobig.C? I’ve gotten about 60 copies of that particular worm in the past week, and it’s getting annoying. The “usual” (if there is such a thing) audience is probably be well aware of that, but it never hurts to mention it anyway…
Incidentally, my GMX-account has surpassed the 5000 Junk-mails border (which is quite something in 3 months). 🙁

Had a reasonably relaxed Christmas. Went to see “Return of the King” today with my father and sister. Liked it, but I’ll probably prefer the extended DVD version as I did with all the other films.
Now the only thing that keeps us (Alex and me) from completing “1080° Avalanche” is the Extreme cup and the tricks section (of which we don’t have the slightest idea of how to make enough points… ;)). Collecting the coins in time-trial and doing the gate challenge was probably more fun than doing the main-races, although some of the coins were very well hidden. The problem with gate-challenge is to control yourself not to want to do them “too well” (i.e. too quickly).
