(hopefully) managed to fix the archive index… not that anyone cares…
starting work on my “images & vision” assignment. we had the choice between partitioning an image (which sounded too easy) and compressing it by a factor of 64. being the geek that i am, i went for the compression… did some research into wavelets and started coding on that. looks quite promising, although i don’t have any numbers yet (Rice run-length encoding on the bitplanes still has to be written). very interesting.
went to gyosei-college’s japanese festival here in reading, which was quite nice (good food, BURA-BURA contest ;))
just one graph-theory lecture (grmbl) is seperating me from the weekend…
got into a but of SDD1 hacking… not much progress, though. 🙁
my “console” (probably using lua) will have q3-compatible font-color support. just what you needed to know.
TMPGEnc’s auto-IVTC is indeed a lot better than VirtualDub’s… but it takes about an extra hour… sniff.
fixed the last remaining bug in the “Die Gilde” 3D-Engine… (well… i can dream, right?)

now got a working font-renderer in opengl (texture based) that can do nifty things (size, color, …) quite quickly.
did my first opengl programming… after years of directx, quite refreshing really (SDL helped a lot ;))
did (most of) the graph theory problem sheet, and it was quite interesting (which cannot really be said for the lectures…)
